I don't know where to start when talking about the amazing aspects of this horn.
First off - the way it plays. It's AMAZING. I have been playing it all day since cleaning it (Ultrasonic cleaning). It's lightweight due to being a compensating double, but what is cool is that the compression reads 1.0 - and that is across the equivalent of 8 valves! That is amazing, but even more so for a horn nearing 100 years old. The rotors have been replated - thus the incredible reading.
2nd, the horn is rare in that it is made of nickel. I have seen many Wendler models over the decades but this is the only one I've seen made of nickel. The construction of this horn is gorgeous. Everything part is hand made to fit this specific horn and is done superbly.
3rd...the price. A horn with this compression, history, and playability should cost much more!
