This is a rare horn in gorgeous condition! It's a mid century Kruspe double horn that has a fabulous history. Previously owned by William Sabatini who was principal horn of the San Francisco and Detroit symphonies who then sold it in 1960 to a prize student of his (his estate is selling it). These horns are gorgeously made. Thousands of hours of hand work went into making each horn. Every part was perfectly fit! The valves are tight as can be with a 1.1 reading. There are just a few tiny dings and there is some dezincification on the leadpipe - but other than that it has it's entire life still ahead of it. There are NO thin spots or patches!
All I can say about this horn is 'WOW'! Easy to play and a dark, round, powerful, noble sound.
Brown fixed bell case included.
This is a true collectible that plays like a professional horn should.
