Kruspe horns are arguably the most influential of all horn makers. Their horner model was the inspiration for the Conn 8D, and they are stunningly made instruments. All seamed tubing with hand hammered flares - intricate curves, and gorgeously designed valves are all hallmarks of these horns.
This one is an unlacquered yellow brass model - and it is ALL original. The bell has NO thin spots at the flare (there is a protective guard up by the thumb. The original leadpipe does have some patches on it (and one on the main tuning slide), but all of this work has been done by a highly proficient technician. The compression is 1.1 (GREAT!) due to the rotors having been rebuilt at some point in recent history. Such a dark gorgeous sound!
Own a piece of history AND an amazing playing horn as well.
Conn fixed bell case included.
