Returns & Exchanges
Our Return Policy is designed to be fair and upright, so that we may offer you the widest selection of hard-to-find musical items at a reasonable cost with low-cost speedy delivery. As such, it may be different from those of some other retailers, therefore please take a moment to become familiar with it. All returns or exchanges must occur within 30 days of the original invoice and must include all original packaging, except for horns and mouthpieces which have a seven day trial/return policy, and must be accompanied by a copy of the invoice and or a note explaining the reason for the return. All modifications mean the instrument is a final sale with no returns. (NOTE: Shipping charges are not refunded for horn trials) You do not need a Return Authorization (R/A) number before sending your return. If you are uncertain of whether you are allowed to return an item, please contact us first before sending it back. Any item returned in violation of this policy will not be credited and may be refused and sent back to you.
Mouthpieces may be returned after a 7 day trial period as long as they are in 'NEW' condition and the packaging is returned as well. There is a $2 charge per mouthpiece returned for sanitizing and polishing.
Sheet music is not returnable or exchangeable unless there is a printing error or we shipped the wrong item to you. We can not take back music because it is not satisfactory or is not what you expected, or because it is too easy or too hard. In the case of defective music, we will exchange your defective copy for a corrected version if possible. We will only issue a refund or credit if a corrected copy is no longer available. Music returned must be in mint condition with no markings whatsoever.
Accessories are returnable if they and their packaging are unused and in mint condition. Accessories that arrive damaged or with their packaging damaged will be credited at a lesser value than when sold.
The Return and trial policy for instruments is 7 days upon receipt - unless, in the case of used instruments, negotiations between the owner and buyer have resulted in an agreed upon price - in which case the sale is considered immediate. Any defective new instrument will be replaced within 30 days if it is not easily repairable. Shipping charges for instrument trials is NOT refundable. All modifications to a horn mean the instrument is a final sale with no returns.
CDs are returnable only if they are still in their original, unbroken shrink wrap. Defective CDs can of course be returned, and will be exchanged for new ones. CDs may not be returned because they are not what you expected or because you don't like the performance.
In cases of defective or erroneous merchandise, we will also refund your shipping charges if the original shipping charges pertained to only the returned item. In cases where you are returning an item for reasons other than defect or error, we will credit your account for the cost of the item only, minus shipping charges. This is our general policy regarding returns and exchanges. There may be exceptions or circumstances unforeseen at the time of this writing. In those cases we will do what is fair and appropriate to remedy the situation. We appreciate your cooperation with us in regards to this and other policies outlined on this page. These policies have been instituted so that we may offer you the widest selection of hard-to-find musical items at a reasonable cost with fast delivery. While a more liberal return policy might be initially appealing, it would seriously affect our ability to offer you the wide range of products you will find here.
Trial Policy for Used Horns
The trial period is seven days upon receipt of the instrument. All shipping charges both to and from the customer are to be paid by the customer. Packing instructions for returning an instrument are listed in the Horn Resources section on this website. Any failure to properly package an instrument may result in additional repair charges. Any instrument which is purchased and then modified per the owner's desires is NO longer allowed a 7 day trial period. All modifications mean the instrument is a final sale with no returns.
a. To hold Instrument and take full responsibility for it while in Consignee’s possession and to do due diligence to make certain the instrument has a 'clear title' for legal sale;
b. To inspect Instrument and to report to Consignor, either verbally or in writing, any defects found on the Instrument which are not noted above;
c. To make diligent and reasonable efforts to sell the Instrument;
d. To make all necessary arrangements, including shipping, handling, and insurance, the completion of any forms or agreements, or any other necessary arrangement or document required to effect the sale of the Instrument to a prospective buyer;
e. To return the Instrument to Consignor at Consignor’s request, notwithstanding any pending or final sale to a prospective buyer;
f. To pay to Consignor the amount noted in Payment on Sale, above, after the completion of a sale of the Instrument;
g. To pay to Consignor any amounts due from the actual sale price of the Instrument after satisfaction of any Fees due Consignee under this agreement. (15% of the actual selling price, or $200.00, whichever is greater.)

- We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to?keep the information confidential.
- After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
Timing & Shipping Policy
Credit cards will be charged after you have click the final submit button in the 'checkout' process. A secure third party is processing the payment for your order and therefore we do not have access to your credit card information at any time. We receive your order within 60 seconds after you have clicked the final submit button in the 'checkout' process. Your order confirmation is in confirmation email sent to the address you provided. All orders under 5lbs are shipped via USPS unless otherwise requested. Horns and all other large items are shipped via UPS. All orders are shipped within 24 hours unless they are out of stock or made during times when the Post Office is closed, and you will be notified. You may choose to have a complete refund if the items are out of stock.
