It's always a breath of fresh air when I open a case for an older instrument and find it in stunning condition. This is one of those horns. It's a nickel, lacquered King 2270 (Eroica) double horn. The owner got this back in High School and played it through college then stored it. He took great care of it as the compression is near perfect (0.9). The horn has just a few tiny dings and a couple scratches in the lacquer but overall it's in amazing condition.
King horns are noted for being incredibly free blowing horns. This horn will take ALL the air you can give it and it produces a sound that carries. It's not overly dark (think old Kruspe horns) but it's a true 'American' sounding horn. You will not find another instrument in this price range in this condition.
King fixed bell case included if desired (it's the original BIG case....)
