During the early and mid parts of the 20th century Schmidt wrap horns were BIG. The New York Phil and other famous orchestras used them. The sound is phenomenal! This one is silver plated (with some missing areas of silver) and is all original. There is a patch on the 3rd F slide, but other than that there is a LOT of brass left on this horn. Give it a complete valve rebuild and you'll have an amazing 'player'. The current compression is 6.0 (poor), but they can be rebuilt. There are the expected number of dings found, but the bell is in really good condition. Usually the flares are worn out and have thin spots - not this one! Some evidence of previous solder repairs.
