Nickel Kruspe horns in original condition are extremly rare - and ones that are in almost perfect condition come up for sale only once in a decade. This is one such beast! It's an unlacquered nickel Kruspe with a fixed bell. Check out the pictures of it - and you'll be amazed! The engraving is a work of art. This horn has been professionally owned - played in the BSO. The valves have been rebuilt at some point in its history and the compression is a 2.4. (each valve independantly measures 0.1 so the 2.4 reading is most likely due to the seamed tubing throughout the instrument). The amount of hand building on these instruments is something that couldn't be done in today's day and age. Big dark sound - think Anton Horner!
I LOVE looking at this horn - it's just a work of art!
Eastman fixed bell case included.
