The 871 came roaring into existence a few years ago and has been widely accepted by professionals world wide. This unlacquered 871 goes a couple steps further! It has an Alexander ringset on it (WAY better), an Alexander flipper has been added, and dimes have been soldered to the levers for more comfort.
These horns were inspired by Yamaha's wildly successful 861 (I played one myself for over a decade). They are very free blowing, and the high notes POP right out. The owner of this horn ended up going a different route - and barely used this horn. I looked all over it and finally found one tiny ding - otherwise this horn is in absolutely NEW condition. The compression is perfect (with a reading of 0.1).
Though it comes without a case - a fixed bell Yamaha case can be added at no extra cost.
