Jim Patterson is one of America's foremost builders. His work is 'top of the line' and the way his horns play reflects that attention to detail. This is an 'R' type Geyer model. It's made of unlacquered yellow brass, It has a medium large bell with a Lawson/Alexander ring, and the 'R' designates that it has extra bracing for better projection. This horn is in gorgeous condition with only 1 tiny ding that I could find, and I had to really look! Because it is unlacquered there is tarnish but that is entirely expected. The compression is perfect at 0.1. Typically you would have to wait a LONG time to get one of these AND it would cost a few thousand more than what this one is priced at. All this AND it comes with a Marcus Bonna MB2 case.
