The Olds company was a true innovator in horn designs over the years. When they went out of business they left a gaping hole in the world of horn creativity and their horns are still highly desired. This one has recently been serviced by Chuck Ward (thus the great valve compression) and the addition of the useful waterkeys (and duck foot). The compression is great at 0.9 - and Chuck cut the bell using an Alexander ringset. The horn has been well used and has an extra patch/guard at the top of the bell tail. The lacquer is mostly worn off, and there is evidence of repair to the bell flare.
The horn is powerful - due to that Nickel flare and tail. One of the things that makes these horns so desirable is that the valves were built by Bernie Marston - he was the supplier for Carl Geyer!! SO cool! The reason these horns had nickel flares was because they have a wider/larger taper.
Older brown fixed bell case included if desired.
