This horn is almost 100 years old and is part of American horn history. When Schmidt models ruled (New York Phil and other big orchestras) Conn and King decided to join the fray with their own Schmidt models. Conn purchased their valves (supposedly) from Germany and then made their horn around them. This one is silver plated and is all original. The leadpipe should probably be replaced at some point, but the rest of the horn is sound. The compression is 4.5 and the horn would definitely benefit from a rebuild or from using a more viscous oil to help seal the rotors. Lots of potential with this one!
Older fixed bell case included.
