This Hoyer was built before the re-tooling that the current line of Hoyers are made from. This model predates the 801 but it's the same basic Geyer style wrap. The change lever is a mechanical linkage which can be changed to sit in Bb if desired. The horn is made of unlacquered yellow brass with a hand hammered fixed bell. It has some minor dings here and there and the 1st F slide crook has a solder patch. The 2nd Bb slide has some wear on the internal slide. This horn was made during an era when labor was cheap and materials were costly so the instrument has lots of extras (like the hand hammered flare, and stepped slides). This would be a good 'entry' level horn.
The compression reads 3.9.
The case is a fixed bell blue case.
