When 2 of the greatest horn makers from 2 different continents work together to create a horn you KNOW it will be amazing. Dietmar Durk and Steve Lewis are 2 of the most recognizable designers and makers alive. Both of them make works of art and have pioneered many advances in horn making. This is an unlacquered Rhenish model with perfect compression (0.1). It's in great condition (I could only find 1 small ding on the horn. It comes with 2 leadpipe 'bits' so that both American and European tapered mouthpieces will fit. As with all of the Durk 'Geyer' models - it has a Bb tuning slide. (By the way,,, Steve Lewis actually owns the copyright to the 'Geyer' name!). These are powerful horns - the sound carries! Steve worked hand in hand with Dale Clevenger over the years so he knows exactly what professionals want - and Dietmar has some of the top players in the world playing his horns.
