Did you know that new 8D's go for $6200!!!! This one is in fabulous condition and you'll save over $2000 from a new one. It has had the lacquer stripped (Conn lacquer typically is NOT good), and the valves have perfect compression (0.1). Easy blowing and BIG dark sound - think Hollywood horn sound. I grew up on an 8D and this one reminds me of the Elkhart model I had (this is an Eastlake model). There are a few very tiny dings in the flare, but other than that it is cherry!
The case is the newer style fancy fixed bell case.
