Besides being a great playing horn, this Elkhart Conn 6D has some historical significance as well. It was previously owned by Dorothy Frizelle for whom there is a horn scholarship named after her. It was, at some point in time, a military horn, thus the silver plating. The valves have been rebuilt which is why it has near perfect compression (0.4). The Elkhart models were considered true professional instruments back in the 50's and 60's and this is one of those horns. Small dings here and there, an aftermarked bell cut was done using an Alexander/Lawson bell ring.
All of this and it comes with a Marcus Bonna MB7 case. Find out why the pros loved this model!
