The 867 is part of the 'Custom' line of horns based off of the wildly popular 861. The KRD was a model only available over seas and it's rare to find one here in the states, and even more rare to find one in such amazing condition. This is a Knopft style wrap (featuring the 3 dimensional change valve which keeps the air passing through the valve section in the same direction on both sides of the horn). It's made of unlacquered brass with a Yamaha bell ring. Another thing which sets the KRD apart from the standard 867 is the beautiful Kranz (Garland) around the bell. One of the common things about the standard 867 was that it was so light that the sound got a bit edgy quickly. The Kranz holds that sound together and increases the power of the horn quite a bit.
This is truly a professional horn, beautifully cared for and given that it has PERFECT compression (0.1) it's almost in new condition. I could only find a couple tiny dings. Priced to sell quickly!
Yamaha detachable bell case included.
