I played this model by Paxman for over 20 years and like to say that it 'bought my house'. It's an unlacquered nickel model 80. The model 80 is a compensating triple horn so it's a bit lighter than a standard 'full' triple. The 'L' designates a large bell throat and the nickel brightens that up just a bit to help create wonderful overtones. These horns will take all the air you want to push through them, and you never have to worry about what piece is set in front of you, whether it's the 1st part to a Haydn symphony or the low part on Shostakovich 5 - the full range of the horn is here available to you. This horn is in spectacular condition with only a few tiny dings, and some minor scratches. It's all original and comes with the original Paxman flat case as well.
All this - and a price that is thousands below a new one!
