This Paxman 23M is only a year old and was barely played. (The previous owner decided on a different career path). Their loss is your gain. You'd be getting a lacquered yellow brass Paxman 23M (with detachable bell). It's in fabulous condition and comes with a Marcus Bonna MB5. Currently that package brand new would cost almost $9900!!). Other than a few very tiny dings in the bell flare (and I mean TINY) this could pass for an almost new instrument. Save almost $1000 on this professional orchestral horn by Paxman.
The 23 was introduced to the Paxman range in 1999. It was the result of a desire to build a more open, free-blowing instrument in the style of a Geyer or Knopf horn, but retaining the distinctive characteristics of a Paxman.
Unlike the true Geyer wrap, it incorporates the Merewether system, which allows the air to flow in the same direction through the valve block on both the F and Bb horns. This minimises disruption of the airflow, allowing smooth slurring and beautiful legato playing. It also features independent F and Bb tuning slides and a waterkey on the mouthpipe.
MB5 case included.
