I am proud to say that I was the first dealer to bring Ricco Kuhn's gorgeous instruments to the U.S. Since then they have found a way into many of the top orchestras here and throughout the world.
This one is made of unlacquered yellow brass with a detachable flare. The flare is hand hammered with an engraved garland (and expensive option). This horn was professionally played and maintained as can be seen by the fact that it still has perfect compression. There are minor dings here and there in the flare and bell tail. Because it is unlacquered it has tarnish, but that actually helps to preserve the brass. There are no thin spots - this horn is in excellent mechanical condition and has just been ultrasonically cleaned. The high range is divine - the sound is wonderful. As you can tell - I'm a HUGE fan of these horns.
