This 1970 Elkhart Conn 8D has had a stunningly gorgeous valve rebuild (thus the perfect 0.1 compression reading). The valves are the heart of a horn and the owner paid a lot for this beautiful work. The horn is all originaland has the usual lacquer wear and assorted small dings here and there. There is evidence of some previous (now repaired) bell dents. This is a classic 8D and it's ready to fill up an orchestra hall. All it needs is YOU! Dark sound - beautiful high register, and gorgeous slurs - everything you'd expect from America's signature french horn.
