This classic 8D from the mid 1950's (1956) is a great player! It has had the rotors replated, thus the fabulous 0.9 compression reading, and it's in all original condition. There are no patches or thin spots - and NO bad notes! The high Bb sings!
This horn is made of unlacquered nickel and has minor dings here and there and there is evidence of one repaired solder joint. There are dings in the first F slide, the leadpipe, and minor ones in the bell tail. This horn was made during the time when 8D's RULED! Everyone wanted to sound like that Hollywood horn sound and they were playing horns like this.
