Cantesanu Double #25 EA

Custom handmade horns rarely show up for sale, and what's even more rare is a price under 10K!  This is the 25th horn Felix Cantesanu made - it's a Knopf wrap and is in great shape.  The horn is made of unlacquered yellow brass with a detachable flare (Lawson/Alexander Ring).  The compression is PERFECT with a reading of 0.1.  This one has the newer style minbal linkages (silent and efficient) so you don't have to worry about ever breaking a string again.  I'm not certain how long the wait currently is for one of his horns - but who it doesn't matter when this amazing instrument is immediately available.  I was shocked with how easy the high C pops out.  Due to the fact that the horn is unlacquered and hasn't been played in a few years there is lots of tarnish.  There are a few small dings but they are incredibly minor.  All this AND the horn comes with a nice Marcus Bonna MB7 case (these are almost $600 currently!)
