August Knopf Compensating Double (No ser#) TH

Compensating double horns are much lighter than a standard double - this often makes them much easier to play in the upper register (this is why many players will remove their F slides when playing the Bach B minor Mass!).  This horn is made of unlacquered yellow brass.  Beautiful craftsmanship - as to be expected in a Knopf horn.  An Alexander flipper/ducksfoot has been added and Ion Balu has thoroughly gone over this instrument to ensure that the slides are all smooth as silk and the valves work flawlessly.  Adjustable mechanical linkages (no more worrying about broken strings!).  The compression is 5.4 and a fixed bell case is included.
