Following in the footsteps of the hugely famous model 861 - the 871 is the new 'King' of the Yamaha line. It's made of unlacquered yellow brass with a Yamaha ring. A Clebsch strap has been added, as well as the base for an Alexander flipper. All of this means that you have lots of ways to make this horn extremely comfortable to hold - and a BEAST to play! These horns are quite free blowing - with great intonation and gorgeously put together. These horns are over $8000 now - snap this one up! Its got perfect compression as well! (0.1). The owner has too many good horns. (what a problem to have eh? ). There are a few small dings in the flare from those quick mute changes, but that's about it.
