The huge success of Yamaha's original Geyer model, the 861, led to so many other fantastic designs. The 667V is such a horn. It has a dual plane change valve so that the air is always travelling in the same direction throughout the horn. No unnecessary eddies in the air causing disturbances on those precious high notes!
The horn is made of lacquered yellow brass and is all original, including the Yamaha bell ring. Overall it's in really gorgeous condition. There are small dings in the flare (as to be expected) but the body is in great shape. There is some lacquer wear on the inside of the flare and on the first lever (as can be seen in the photos). These horns are light and quite agile. They feel like you're driving the musical equivalent of a sports car.
The compression is perfect at 0.1 - something very few companies ever acheive. This model is no longer in production and is highly desireable.
