'Hatch' conversion Yamaha horns have a bit of a cult following. He takes the 'run of the mill' 667 and puts a hand hammered German flare and tail by Bernd Sander on it, and he also installs his own custom leadpipe.  Walter Lawson did similar customizations in the 1970's on Holton horns and transformed them.  This one is priced to sell quickly.  It's made of unlacquered yellow brass (it's a MAJOR task to remove Yamaha lacquer - so, Kudo's to Wes for doing that to this horn).  The bell ring is a Lawson/Alexander ring, and 2 Amado waterkeys have been added as well.   The compression measures 3.5, and no case is included.  This is a perfect horn for someone wanting a step up to a Geyer/Knopf style instrument.  The change valve lever has been replaced with a more comfortable German made one by Meinl, and a 2nd slide pull rod has been added as well.
There are minor dings, and evidence of soldering but nothing major.
