Collected Writings of Froydis Ree Wekre - English Translation.
Forward from the author: I have always liked to express myself in writing. After 1 published my first book, Thoughts on playing the horn well, my collection of other articles and notes have been growing, slowly but surely. The inspiration came from my teaching activities and from real life in chamber groups and orchestras. Sharing my thoughts, advice, and experiences in writing has been very satisfying; 1 like to share.
Some of the articles in this collection have already been published in various publications, such as The Horn Call, Brass Bulletin, Hornposten, etc. Most of the shorter notes were just handed out to students in an attempt to help them with specific problems and issues. A few articles were originally notes for a lecture. Some modifications have taken place before this publication.
Many thanks to Marilyn Bone Kloss, who has been my editor and wonderful support person for this project, through many years. It took a world crisis for both of us to find space and time to finalize it. I would also like to thank my friends and colleagues in Nordhornped - a Nordic group of horn teachers - for much inspiration and encouragement. Finally, thanks to all students and colleagues with various needs - nobody mentioned, nobody forgotten!
