Shires horns are a new addition to my stable of trusted, high quality horn makers. I've been quite impressed by the quality of the build AND more impressed by how they play. This is their model Q20 - it's a true Geyer wrap with the wonderful addition of a Bb tuning slide. This one is unlacquered and is in almost new condition (other than the tarnish). These horns feature ROTAX valves - a high quality rotor developed in Switzerland thus the wonderful 1.4 compression reading. An Amado waterkey has been added to the leadpipe.
These horns hit WAY beyond their price point! I liken them to the Yamaha 671 instruments or the 871.
