One of the hallmarks of a Schmid french horn is how amazingly light and agile they are. This one feels like you're holding a single horn - and it plays with ease. The medium Hand Hammered yellow brass flare has a beautiful engraved garland and it makes this horn sing. The body of this horn is made of unlacquered yellow brass, the bell is lacquered. There are very minor dings on the flare and I couldn't find any on the body. The compression is perfect at 0.1 and the horn has just been professionally ultrasonically cleaned.
