Schmid Double #1386 HA

Schmid horns are such a joy to hold and play.  They are ultra light, and extremely facile.   Every note is right where you expect it to be.  I recall Bob Osmun telling me once: "I dunno, I think that the better a horn is made, the better it plays"... and the Schmid horns are a great example of that.  This one has a hand hammered wide flare which is unlacquered.  The body is lacquered and is in overall good condition with just a few minor dings here and there and some minor dezincification on the 3rd F slide. 
The compression on this horn is perfect with a reading of 0.1.
