Paxman 60M Bb/Bb #6839 BG

The model 60 Descant by Paxman is a very rare instrument - the did not make many of these.  The ones they did make ended up in the hands of a few lucky pros around the world.  Here's your chance to get one!  This is a gold brass, medium bore, model 60 Bb High Bb descant horn.  It's extremely light and facile in the upper register and given that it's made of gold brass it has all sorts of wonderful overtones and extra darkness to battle the brightness of the shorter side of the instrument.  The bell has been cut using an Alexander/Lawson ring so you have many bell options should you decide to pursue that route.  Professionally owned and maintained - JUST ultrasonically cleaned and ready to go.  The compression is quite good at 1.9 and no case is included. The high Bb side is perfect for those wild Haydn and Bach horn parts.  There is some missing lacquer and the expected small dings or scratches but nothing major anywhere.
