When German re-united Hoyer upgraded all their tooling and manufacturing techniques and started producing horns that are not fully mainstream and desired by professionals worldwide. This was a Hoyer 801 that Wes Hatch did a conversion on. He replaced the bell and tail with a hand hammered German 'Sandner' flare and cut it with an Alexander ringset. He then installed a custom leadpipe and replaced the waterkeys with Amado button keys.
This work, alone, cost many thousands of dollars! This horn is made of unlacquered yellow brass. The compression is PERFECT with a reading of 0.1. The horn notches beautifully - this means you'll have more endurance and power. A Clebsch strap has been added for comfort. This is truly a wolf in sheep's clothing. Very minor dings here and there, and tarnish (water spots) as to be expected.
