When Hoyer revitalized their line of horns in the 1990's they had 2 flagship models - the 6802 and the G10. This is a lacquered, nickel, 6802 with a fixed bell in great condition. The mechanical linkages have been changed out to string linkages (they're more efficient) by Patterson Hornworks, and the rotors have been completely rebuilt by Houghton horns - thus the perfect compression reading of 0.1. (New Hoyer horns typically do not have compression readings below a 1.5!) If you've been desiring a Conn 8D but don't want the headaches that typically accompany them, this is the horn for you.
Easy, smooth valves, free blowing, big dark sound. Some lacquer wear, and minor dings
Yamaha fixed bell case included if desired (no charge)
