This is a perfect starting double horn for a playing going to High School or College.  The compression is perfect at 0.1 and it plays easily.  Holton horns were everyone's first double when I was a kid - and I have a soft spot for them. This horn is made of lacquered nickel (there is lacquer wear and scratches). There are minor dents, and evidence of damage (repaired) to the leadpipe.  A Clebsch strap has been added to the horn for comfort (there is a slight push in at the anchor).  Why waste money renting a terrible instrument and when you return it you'll have nothing to show for all that money spent?
