The Holton H178 and 179 are pretty much America's first double horns. They are made here in the states and you simply can't go wrong with them. This is a lacquered H179 made of nickel with a fixed bell. It has good compression at 2.4 and has just been ultrasonically cleaned here in our shop. It's got some lacquer were and a few dings here and there, but at this price it'll be gone quickly. Don't waste your money on a cheap rental - get a horn that has been proven through decades of budding hornists.
