One of the best horn players who has ever lived, Radek Baborak, plays a Duerk D3 (thus the 'Baborak' moniker). He play tests each one that is produced to make certain that it lives up to his expectations. These horns are quite difficult to get, especially here in the states, since they have become the darling horn of those who want a 103 style instrument but with a different sound. Radek played principal horn for the Berlin Phil and left because he wanted to pursue his solo career. (Google his ensemble - it's amazing). This one is made of lacquered yellow brass. It comes with 2 leadpipes (one is unlacquered) and a Marcus Bonna MB5. The compression is perfect (this horn is less than 2 years old). There are a few small mute dings in the flare (to be expected) and another tiny one at the top of the horn, along with some slight scratches in the finish. All of this is normal wear, and other than that it is ready to help you play as well as Baborak does. I am only able to get one or two of these a year and they sell for MUCH more these days!
