This N series 8D, (built in 1970) has all the characteristics one wants in a 'classic' 8d - a big dark sound, and liquid slurs. This one has been to the old Lawson shop where Walt did his magic on it - converting it to a detachable bell, replating the rotors, and installing a couple extra guards at the top of the horn where one rests their hand. For those who are wondering - when a horn is converted to detachable flare you no longer should be holding the horn in your lap by the flare as the horn can fall forwards - thus the reason people rest their hand on the top of the horn. The compression on this horn is great at 1.4. There is the option of purchasing a Lawson leadpipe and bell with this as well. (contact me if you desire to do this).
