Alexander Slide locks
The reason I only gave this four stars instead of five is because they are too big for my horn slides. I play a Berg. The tooling/machining/quality of the product is definitely five stars! If they fit I would buy more, but even at their tightest they’re too big.

Super Happy
This worked perfectly! I was very worried it would be too loose- but it fits great and keeps the slide in place without damaging the horn if it is pushed around without being unscrewed first. I would fully recommend giving this a try. It's a good quick fix if your horn is moving out of tune.

Alexander slide lock
Well-constructed but when fully tightened it is still a little too loose on my 8D main tuning slide to stay put.

Alexander Slide Lock rings
I tried ordering some of these from another source but they have been on back-order for most of a year. I ordered three of these from Pope along with a preowned horn last week. The locks didn't make it into the package for the horn shipment, but when I informed Pope instruments about this the locks were shipped to me right away. I'm using these on an E. Schmidt Kompakt double; I believe the horn's tubing wall thickness is slightly less than a typical Alex and the ring would not close enough to grip the slide right out of the bag. I had to "massage" the lock ring with a small amount of filing so it will close a little more and snug onto the tuning slide...now it works perfectly and looks absolutely gorgeous. Thanks so much to Pope Instruments for having these items in stock and correcting the oversight in shipping in such short order. 5 Stars 'cause that's the most I can give.
