Imported from Germany the Alexander/Lawson Ringset is the standard in the horn world. If you think you can cut your own bell or have a technician who can do it for you this is what you will need. You or your technician will need to have the necessary equipment to match the taper to your specific bell/horn.

Alexander /Lawson ring set
Recently i bought a Conn Vintage 8DS horn. This horn is great, but my old Elkhart 8DS still was superior. Than i bought an Atkinson bell flare from Morris Powell, that made the new vintage 8D play so much better. Only thing, the screw on this bell didn't fit the vintage one. Now with the screw bell ring set purchased from Pope repair, the vintage plays as beautifully as the elkhart 8D.Thanks Ken!
