The flipper by which all others are measured by. Alexander manufactures this fully adjustable left hand aid - which takes the weight of the horn off of the pinky finger. This allows far more dexterity of the fingers. Note: This item needs to be soldered on to the horn by a qualified technician. One Caveat: Only tighten the screws far enough that the flipper does not slip up or down. If over tightened you can break the top part of the clamp.

It works as expected. Adjustment is a little finicky but I’ll live with it.

    Flipper/Duckfoot

I have had one on my 1947 Conn 6D for a year. This has been helpful for reducing stress in left hand; I am 82 years old, needing all the help available. It is especially noticeable when using the third valve. SO: this new Flipper/Duckfoot goes on my 1914 Alexander 103.

    Alexander Brace/Ducks Foot

Posted by Lauren Braud on Jan 30th 2021

The brace allows the weight of the Horn to balance on a much bigger muscle of the left hand, taking the stress out of the left pinky and right wrist. My fingering technique is much more fluid now and it took the repair tech less than an hour to install. Great product!
