Alexander is a household name amongst hornists world wide. The famed Berlin Philharmonic is an all Alexander section and their sound is amazing. This is a model 200 - and as they say on their website 'there is a correlation between mass and sound'. The trend in 'ultra light' horns had gone too far and the model 200 pushes back (successfully) on that to create a horn that has enough carrying power to fill any hall. This one is made of lacquered yellow brass and has a stunning engraved garland. Costing over 10K new this one is a steal AND the compression is perfect. There are a couple small dings but other than that it's in excellent condition. Truly, this is a professional, top quality, horn in need of a talented player to make it sing.
