Alexander 103 (no ser#) EM

In most of the world the reigning horn is the Alexander 103 - and this one is a classic.  It's an older model and Ion Balu (of Balu Musik) has done extensive work on it.  It's made of yellow brass (the lacquer has been stripped) and Ion has done some gorgeous work ensuring that the old school mechanical linkages are silent.  Alexander horns are known for their distinctive sound and that great brassiness that you get when playing FFF!  This one has been well loved and played.  The compression measures 3.0, and there are 2 protective guards that have been added (one at the top where the right hand typically sits during rests, and the other on the inside of the bell tail where the thumb would brush against the tail).  As mentioned, the dents have been removed, and there are no thin spots at all in the flare.  
Note that these older 103's have a long 'throw' for the thumb valve!
