Walter and Bruce Lawson were masters of taking good horns and making them GREAT horns. They did so much research on tapers, metals, annealing etc that they could replicate their success over and over. This is a pre-war Alexander 103 that they took and did a few things to it that made it amazing. They put on their signature custom leadpipe and they rebuilt the rotors - this horn sings! It's made of lacquered yellow brass and is in overall good condition The compression is 2.4 and there are no thin spots or patches anywhere. The upper range is wonderfully easy and fluid.
This horn will not be here long! Just ultrasonically cleaned and ready to go.
Protec detachable bell case included.
