Gorgeously constructed and easy to play - that is how I would describe almost ALL of the instruments Yamaha makes. They have some of the most stringent guidelines that their technicians have to follow, and the instruments have to pass rigorous quality tests. The result is that their horns have outstanding comression (this one has a perfect reading of 0.1) and the slides are smooth, AND the way the horn plays reflects that diligence.
This one is a fixed bell model in all original condition. Other than a few minor dings and some nicks in the lacquer it's in great condition. The current model which has replaced the 668 (the 672) is thousands of dollars more expensive! Perfect double horn for someone moving up from a single. This will keep them inspired far beyond college.
