This is a well loved Engelbert Schmid double horn. It's made of lacquered yellow brass with a silver flare (and an engraved garland!). Despite all the missing lacquer and repaired solder joints this horn plays GREAT. It's free blowing, has wonderful compression (1.9) and was just ultrasonically cleaned. Schmid horns are known for being incredibly light and facile, also, you can get other flares to change the sound to a Medium or wide bore. This horn has lots of small dings, a repaired solder joint at the first valve, and lots of lacquer wear. This is all testimony to how much this horn was loved and played. Save many thousands over a brand new one!!
