Engelbert Schmid had a hug affect on the world of horn making. Between his one piece valve cluster to his ultra-light horn bodies they played with ease and were incredibly facile. The compression on this horn is great at 1.4. The horn is made of unlacquered yellow brass. The detachable flare has an engraved garland and it's the 'hand hammered, wide' model. This helps to darken the sound which is a great thing with such a light weight instrument. There are 2 waterkeys and a Schmid hand rest/Duckfoot. Even though the horn is tarnished it's in great condition with only a couple tiny dings in it. This is a professional instrument ready to go!
