This unlacquered, yellow brass, detachable flare (Medium, Hand Hammered) is a joy to play. It's light and agile - especially due to being a compensating triple - but most importantly the compression is AMAZING reading 0.9 which basically means that after the air has passed through the Bb side of the horn, it then passes through the F extensions therefore it's getting an amazing reading after passing through the equivalent of 12 valves! Anyhow - all of that gobbledygook is just another way of saying that this horn is beautifully constructed, and is in great condition. There is some surface hazing due to having been stored unplayed for a few years but that is just visual. An Alexander handstrap has been added for extra comfort.
