I have seen many Sansone Bb horns over the decades but I have never seen one with the valves in such great condition. The compression is an amazing 0.9 and that is over 5 valves! That is simply incredible and it also helps to explain why this horn plays so well. It's an unlacquered Bb horn with a built in F extension (activated by the pinky) and a stopping valve (no need to worry about transposing those gestopf passages). These horns are an amazing blend of being so agile due to the light weight and yet having the full range of a double horn. There are so many places where such an instrument would shine. Opera pit work, brass quintets, chamber music, the list goes on and on.
The flipper is missing, but one could easily be made. Hand made - high quality, incredibly attractive price, and it plays simply great! Just cleaned and ready to go.
