The horn world lost one of the 'greats' with the passing of George McCracken in 2024. His designs are some of the best ever made - and the Eroica is one of his successes. This Eroica has wonderful compression (1.5) and has George's custom leadpipe configuration on it (removeable leadpipe). It's made of unlacquerered nickel with the aforementioned brass McCracken leadpipe. These horns are incredibly open playing and can take ALL the air you put into them. Powerful horns for powerful players. Big dark sound throughout the range. I firmly believe that all of the McCracken instruments will rise quickly in value over the next few years.
