This is a perfect double, step up, horn for a younger student. It has been converted to detachable bell (easier to carry on the bus!), comes with an (albeit older) back pack style case, and has just been cleaned. It's ready to go - it just needs a player. Holton horns have been the staple of high school and college players for decades. This one doesn't break the bank. It's made of lacquered nickel - though most of the lacquer has worn off. It has minor dings here and there, and there is evidence of repairs on the flare, but the good news is that you don't have to fret about putting in that first disheartening ding - someone already did it for you. ;)
Truly though, why waste money on a rent to own instrument that you'll over pay for, when you can get this horn and it will not lose any value if well taken care of.
